It looks like the sort of cartoon car that Noddy might drive. But this is the computerized ‘hands free’ Google Self-Driving Car that the company graph to have on the roads in the not-too-distant future. The car has no steering wheel, brake or accelerator pedals, just buttons for start, draw over and there is also urgent situation stop and a computer screen showing you your route where are you going.
The program that controlling Google's car is called Google Chauffeur. Lettering in favor of every car recognizes it as a "self-driving car". The task is right now being driven by Google engineer Sebastian Thrun.
The frontage of the vehicle has soft foam like material where a conventional bumper would be and a more elastic windscreen, in a bid to be safer for pedestrians. Speed is limited to 40kph and the capability to self-drive will depend on specifically designed Google road maps tested on the company’s current fleet of vehicles. This works by using GPS knowledge to set the vehicle’s exact place on an electronic chart. The computer brain is programmed with road policy and guides the car to a selected destination. The cars will revolutionize driving, serving to remove the ‘‘human error’’ responsible for nine out of ten crashes. This car is a very interesting car for the human. Keep enjoying these happy moments.
